The recent outbreak of infections with the novel coronavirus has been naturally a source of concern for many of our existing and prospective patients.  Due to the uncertainty as to the course of this outbreak many patients expressed their wish to pursue fertility treatment despite the concern. The following advice is aimed at reducing anxiety and guiding existing and prospective patients so that they can access fertility care safely.

Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) also known as Preimplantation Genetic Testing - Aneuploidies (PGT-A) refer exactly to the same thing, to the same technology. PGS is an embryo selection tool that can be used in infertility treatment. PGT-A is the newer nomenclature but both PGS and PGT-A are used interchangeably and refer to the exact same thing.
