Restarting fertility treatments - We are open now!
UPDATE 15th May 2020
We are very proud to announce that we have just been granted the license by the HFEA to restart fertility treatments at City Fertility. Everyone at City Fertility has worked hard to ensure that we have new patient pathways in place and that we can provide safe and effective treatment during these challenging times. Thank you all for your patience and support during the lockdown – now let’s create miracles together!
If you are an existing patient of ours and you have been waiting to start treatment, please note that our coordinators will be in touch as soon as possible to let you know the next steps in your journey.
If you would like to become a patient, please do not hesitate to contact us on 020 8209 3226 (Mon - Fri, 8am - 4pm) or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you can use the online chat at the bottom of this webpage.
UPDATE 2nd May 2020
Following the very recent article from 29th April about the hope for IVF patients in view of the new ESHRE guidelines being published (read the full article here), the UK fertility regulator decided to lift the temporary suspension on fertility services. This is great news for thousands of patients currently waiting to continue their journey to start a family.
The safety of patients and clinic staff remains a priority for us and the HFEA. Before we can resume treatment, we must demonstrate that we can provide a safe service for patients and a safe working environment for our staff that complies with recommendations from professional guidance. To do this we must have a COVID-19 treatment commencement strategy in place, which, I am pleased to say, we have been working hard on for the last two weeks in anticipation of the ban being lifted.
All fertility clinics will be required to set out a strategy to show how they meet conditions to provide safe and effective treatment during the outbreak before they are given the green light to restart treatment. The main requirements will be social distancing in the waiting rooms, offering telephone/video consultations where suitable and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided where necessary.
City Fertility will implement all restrictions, precautions and new guidelines in the week commencing 4th May with the intention to apply to HFEA on the first possible day, which is Monday 11th May. We hope to resume fertility treatments as soon as possible. All patients will be contacted and informed about their next steps and options once we have been given approval.
If you have specific questions regarding your medical treatment or the reopening of the clinic, please contact us on 020 8209 3226 (Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm) or by email on email@example.com
